I purchased this machine because it wasnt the cheapest. And not expensive. So I paid for what I get. A machine that works. This machine does not work 100% the balance is off constantly. It spins in the center but not the load. And it comes with ALEXA. which contract is cancelled and ALEXA is removed. Do I get a credit for a feather I wanted no. ALEXA is removed and now the buttons and feather is useless.

Save your money and look elsewhere. This has been a huge disappointment. I regret purchasing this GE Profile washing machine. The lid has now broken twice under nothing but normal, everyday household use. There has been no misuse, no slamming, and no overloading ™€" just typical laundry loads. For a premium-priced appliance, this is completely unacceptable. A washing machine should last for years without major components failing, and this repeated issue strongly suggests a design or material defect rather than user error. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially given the reputation of the GE Profile line. I expected durability and quality, not repeated breakdowns and inconvenience. I am requesting that GE address this issue properly and provide a lasting solution. I would appreciate a response regarding how this defect will be

This washer came highly recommended by the salesperson at the appliance store and I'm sorry that I listened to him. I've had this washer less than 3 years and the door has broken 4 times!!!! Twice the replacement part was sent to me with a broken piece. Of course, it's no longer under warranty so I have to put money into a machine that I do not even want. Any time I wash a blanket it throws the washer into imbalance and it doesn't drain. I have to run drain and spin several times, wasting so much water. In addition, the fabric softener just sits in the detergent dispenser.

The washer is decent. I find it a little confounding to customize settings as some of the items aren™€™t explained and I™€™m not entirely sure what they mean. The cap on the center agitater comes off easily and when it pulled it off, there was mold in there because of water getting in. Not entirely sure how to clean that area as it™€™s long and skinny.

I like the washer in general. One thing that I think was unsatisfactory was the waste water set-up. The hose was entirely inadequate, way to short, the connector/ hose was cheaply made and the connector needed a hose clamp not included.

But, it has some great features also e.g., an automatic liquid dispensing system (Smart Dispense) in addition to a feature where you add detergent pacs. It has a great sanitize cycle also. I also like the feature (by text) that alerts me when cycle is finished . My only reason for four stars is it is louder than my previous washer.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. It is destroying my clothes because there is never enough water to cover them. Even if I use the ™€œbulky™€ cycle. The clothes are so twisted that I have to get someone to help me get them out of machine. I have had Art Handler out several times and they can™€™t seem to get it to work properly. And the noise is awful. The dryer, however is fine

Over priced to start with and broken more then not

I bought this washer and matching dryer together as a set. The dryer no matter what setting is always high heat, otherwise it's mediocre at best. However the washer, that is another story all together....The control board has burnt out 5 times now at $169.99 every time and with the control board the lock/lid sensor also needing to be replaced at an adtional $46.99 each. After replacing them the washer will vary on how long ranging from only a week to the longest of only 3 months before needing the same thing all over again! Of course the 1 year warranty has expired and the "10 year limited warranty" won't cover any of this! Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from GE appliances in general, just look at the consumer reports for yourself!

I never feel like it uses enough water. I've tried using the "deep fill" option, but it still doesn't feel like it's enough (and you can't select it when using the "Normal" wash cycle). And I use tide pods, which gives you the same amount of detergent every time, so it would be nice if the washing machine could realize I'm using a tide pod (in the tide pod drawer) and provide enough water for 1 tide pod, regardless of how many clothes are in there. And the temp/soil/spin options don't use words, just lights, so you have to guess what is warm and what is cold, or look at the manual online (they don't give you a physical copy of the manual). In closing, my clothes always feel stiffer after being washed in this machine. I miss my old machine :(

I really want to love this machine, but I'm often frustrated. I've read the manual and still don't get it. These are my complaints: - When the load gets out of balance, there is no notification. When I come down to flip the laundry, the sensor panel looks like everything is fine; however, when I open the lid, the clothes are soaked. The manual says to just hit drain and spin when this happens, but I have no idea where in the cycle it got stuck - after the wash or after the rinse (I think older washers used to have a short spin after the wash and before the rinse - maybe not true anymore, but couldn't find that info), so I'm worried the load wasn't rinsed. - I always have to use an extra rinse cycle when I use powdered detergent - even when sorting the clothes well and using the no-tangle setting. I am using the correct amount and drawer as far as I can tell. - The default pre-programmed settings leave the clothes very wet - so I have to play with all the settings every time - eg: Choose "Normal" - reduce the heat a bit, adjust the dirt level if necessary, and maximize the spin. It's just annoying - I may be able to set my preferred settings like the Profile dryer does, but I can't figure that out. - I'm thinking if I could connect it to Alexa, I might get the notifications I'd like (like load done, load out of balance...) but the directions for connecting it to wifi just lead to this page to purchase the machine where I conveniently found this place to review! I do like the laundry success tips in the quick guide about reducing lint contamination - so there is that.

My LG washer was slowing giving out after 10 years of going strong. We choose this washer based on reference from a good friend. Washers aren't made like they used to be, that's for sure! This washer grinded on the wash cycle making a hole in the floor where is was digging. My loads weren't oversized in any means, not even half of what I washed in the same size tub with the LG. After replacing the parts once, they went out again within 2 weeks, and we ended replacing it with a front loader. The features on the washer were great. I liked the smart detergent feature too. I was optimistic for this appliance!

GE has sent repairmen four times and replaced parts three times and it™€™s still not working. Now I have standing water in my washer and a soaking wet load of laundry to take to the laundromat. When is enough and GE replaces this washer?

The washer has been fine but does not have the detailed settings or the ability to create your own settings the way my old washing machine did. I bought the washer/dryer set and the all the electronics in the dryer died after two uses meaning the washer just sat mostly unused for the TWO MONTHS it took GE to replace the dryer with a brand new unit. Not having a dryer in Texas winter means doing laundry at home is pointless! Loving our new washer. No issues with a large family doing tons of laundry. The agitator works fabulous. Alexa is a nice touch out of no where playing music while washing laundry is a new one!

We™€™d love this washer, the moment i saw the color i fell in-love. I tried as soon arrived and it was so quiet. In addition our clothes are so clean. Easy to used, i never used alexa but when i got a chance. Overall, i would like to introduce to my family and friends.

Alexa doesn't work

Anytime I ask the washer to do any of the Alexa commands it says "I'm not sure what went wrong." A repairman just left after replacing a microchip and it's still not working. The app is also horrible. I bought these brand new, GE Profile washer and dryer in December and this app allegedly controls both. The app is supposed to have 4 options under the Downloaded cycles section for the dryer to include a Steam Dewrinkle feature for 9-13 garments. After calling for 2 months I was finally advised that the Steam De-wrinkle feature is still in the programing phase. That is false advertising! I bought this dryer specifically for that feature and the fact that Alexa doesn't work with either of them makes this a huge waste of money.

I reviewed this product a thousand times and the biggest complaint was the water level. Unless you put it in deep fill mode to fill up the basket to the top (which it will) it seems like it always fills up about an inch short of being over the clothes (on a normal size load). Every wash once it fills up has clothes that are 2/3rds in water and the other 1/3 dry and above the water. It eventually gets wet but for the first 20 minute the upper parts of clothes don't get washed. I literally have watched the first 20 minutes of the cycle spin by spin. GE says this is a economical savings on water usage, they should let the home owner be the judge if we want to spend an extra $5/month on our water bill. Another thing I wish was different is I wish the agitator would spin in a continuous 360 degree motion and not half circles and stop, half circles and stop etc. While it does this, the clothes on top of the water that are not being washed just sit there and they don't get pulled down into the water. My moms 25 year old washer did and clothes would be in a continuous circle motion pulling them down and pushing them up and continuing that same motion. The paddles on the base of the tub should be a bit taller too to assist with that (they are very short). One good thing you can do is open the lid during the wash cycle and push the dry clothes to the bottom if you have the patience for that. I don't like (or can't figure out) how to pull out and remove the liquid detergent tray to clean. Finally, I don't understand why when I fill up the large reservoir with detergent that the level never moves in the small triangular shaped fill area. Even when it says "Low" on the screen there is still detergent in the fill chamber opening so my question is, is it being used? So I just do it the old fashion way and just pour it onto the clothes manually. I like the looks of the washer and I don't need Alexa or wireless BT options. I just wish it had a self fill if you wanted to add more water or would at least fill up PAST the top of the clothes. If I had to do this again, I would consider other manufactures and I am a GE Fan. I had GE front loaders before and loved how the clothes hitting each other would get stains out, with this top loader clothes just sit in one spot and bounce around a little bit so I don't see how stains get removed. I washed white sneakers and all they did was float to the top and sit on top of the water (fabric down) and hardly ever moved and the stains never came out. When they were washed in front loaders they got cleaned because they constantly hit other items in the wash that assisted with removing the stains. There would be no difference of me throwing my sneakers into a bath tub to sit in the water.

This washer was recommended to Us by the retailer and it was supposed to be great quality but it™€™s horrible. It™€™s loud, bangs, seems like low quality, cheap parts. I never overload it and follow all guidelines and it™€™s sounds like it™€™s going to fall apart
