I love my new microwave. I had to replace mine after it stopped working. That microwave was also a GE and was built in 1976!! Yes, you read that right... it was 50 years old! Some things I love about the new microwave: the capacity, the sensor (amazing), the ventilation and heating. One drawback was the installation. The cabinet template that we were to use to drill holes for the top of the microwave, did not match the screw holes in the microwave. It was very challenging, and took more time than it should have, but we were able to install it.

I purchased this microwave because I originally purchased a previous one in 2013. It was the same model number. However, for some reason support hole locations are now different. This was very disappointing and eliminated the benefit of buying the same model.. Might want to consider using a different model number if you change something that impacts the customer. Otherwise, it is a good product.

I purchased this unit to replace one I purchased in March 2024 that the fan turned on, on its own and would not turn off. The unit was very very hot and the only way to get to turn off was by turning off the circuit braker. Luckily we were at home, or it may have burned our home down. I don't know if it was defected or not, but for the unit to last only 2years 2months.

Replacing my former GE Over the Range microwave, I noticed this one is noisier ...housing not near as "tight" when operating. Bulb inside seems loose as it flickers when operating. .not due to microwave changes. Selections are definitely harder to engage than my last one. Time changes quality of materials..but i does fit and it does work.

Beverages key does not allow for the volume. My coffee is sooo hot I need to use kitchen gloves to handle the cup. I liked the older version when I could choose the ounces. Same for popcorn.

This is the 3rd GE microwave I have owned. By far it is the noisiest but everything works fine. Wish it still had the "custom1 & custom2" push button controls. The last one was still working but the wife wanted Stainless steel. Hope this one last as long as the last.

So far, so good. It looks great and is very quiet. I've only had it a few weeks, and basically just heat up or re-heat things in it. I dont use it to actually "cook" food (though you could.) But I like the evenness of the popcorn setting and also the reheat and beverage settings. This is a replacement for my 29 year old GE over the stove microwave from 1997 that didn't have all those settings. I hope this new one will last at least half that long!

I purchased this GE microwave oven to replace my GE microwave that was installed in 2014. I thought I was getting the same features in this newer model since it said sensor cooking. However, my older model had a setting called my plate which allowed you to select the kind of vegetable meat or other item that you were cooking then select that specific vegetable and it start. The microwave provided specific cook times based on the item you entered fresh or frozen and it came out perfect every time. The newer model does not include anything similar to this previous feature. I™€™m quite disappointed with his purchase and would readily return it for an exchange.

The microwave is a very low quality. Within 2 months of purchase the handle is peeling like it was covered by tin foil. It is embarrassing and you should be extremely embarrassed that a brand well known is making the cheapest quality product. I will not recommend and I will show everyone so they think twice before wasting their money.

Instalation took approx. 2 hrs. Had a previous GE over the oven and thought the hanging bracket that was on the wall was the same as the new one. all the parts were supplied and we used the new bracket that worked perfectly. very nice looking and working fine so far.

We bought this microwave in February 2025. Yesterday it stopped working. It does not heat anything up. We tried turning it off and on with no success, the only advice our Abt dealer could offer. Very disappointed. Warranty just ran out after a year. It would cost just as much to have someone look at it and repair as it would be to buy a new microwave. We will NOT be buying a GE model. Zero stars.

This is my 2nd of this exact model. 1st one replaced another of the same make and model in my purchased house. Last one last 9 yrs. I do have a complaint though about installation. You moved the !@!#$ screw mounting holes and changed the mounting bracket on this exact same model! Why?!! What could have been a 5 minute R&R became forty minutes extra effort, three new holes and stress for me. No complaints about the microwave it works great (as expected).
