Very loud, the interior burns ,and finally yesterday it sparked and burned a whole in the plate as my granddaughter was heating up food.

It was a good microwave, but only lasted 22 months which is absurd. While it did heat quickly it was also incredibly loud. I™™d avoid this brand though, considering it lasted so little.

I attempted to submit an email through the GE website, the link is not working for email nor chat. This microwave was purchased at Best Buy Appliance, a reputable appliance dealership. I paid a lot of money for our microwave. We always keep it nice and clean.The microwave looks like it was rusted before it was painted and placed in the box prior to purchase. We use our microwave maybe 2 or 3 times a week; but less than the majority of owners I would expect. The paint is flaking off with serious rust issues underneath deeming this product defective, unusable and dangerous. I am disappointed with the quality of this product. It looks like short cuts were taken when it was manufactured over seas. This is disheartening as I have purchased GE appliances my whole life. If you can't stand behind the quality of your products nor the merchandise the name GE is no longer a valuable dependable business. I attempted to reach out by email and chat, neither option was working prior to writing this review. I also attempted to upload photos and that feature is not working on the review.

loved my GE microwave, until my granddaughter cooked popcorn in it. she cooked it according to package directions 4 min. i always use time cook 1.53 for large bags. now it is brown inside and smells horrible. Any suggestions on how to get rid of odor? already tried vinegar and baking soda

I had just warmed a cup of water in the microwave. 5-10 mins later I smelled smoke and fume in my kitchen then heard a glass breaking sound coming from the inside of the microwave and saw that the bottom of the microwave was burnt to the extent that the glass plate had started melting

Inside of microwave started peeling! It looks like it should be metal, but when I was cleaning it I saw it was actually paint! In one of the circular grooves the glass plate sits on, it looked as if there was some spilled food, but would come off. That™™s when I discovered it was actually the microwave itself and there was no spilled food at alll. I don™™t know how long this had been happening. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed in GE and would never buy from them again. I would like to know how many of these chemicals leached into my food.

the microwave died after 17 months. It has no power and when plugged in makes a buzzing sound. Since it is just out of warranty 5 months, the cost of a trip to be repaired would be $114 not including parts and labor. It is disappointing that the GE products do not last.

Small microwave that fits above a fridge in an apartment. It works well. This is the second one I purchased for college student children. Biggest complaint is that just around a year of ownership the interior started to chip and wear away. The appliance has been kept clean and in its 3rd year of use continued to work well. However, that™™s a moot point because the interior chipping of the microwave coating has progressed so badly that the appliance is not safe to use. I™™ve always had GE microwaves (and other household appliances), but this one was a big waste. If the product works but you can™™t use it because it™™s unsafe and may start a fire and you™™re not sure how the chipping affects the microwave process and the food you cook, that™™s a waste of money. My guess is it™™s cheaply made because it™™s been regularly cleaned & maintained. It began chipping right around the 1 year mark of ownership. I doubt GE would do anything to help or replace at this point.

I have been using this microwave since 2020 literally every single day and have used another one before this one for about 10 years and there™™s a clear difference. This GE microwave has developed noticeably rust in the interior after its paint started peeling by the beginning of 2023. I am dissatisfied and disappointed. This is not better than the one I had before at all.

This product has a defect on the inside. The paint at the bottom on the carousel has chipped away leave paint particles all over the bottom of the microwave. In addition the inside back of the microwave is rusted out. This microwave need to be replaced immediately.

Worst appliance! The plastic underneath the glass that helps it turn makes a very loud obnoxious sound if you readjust it it doesn™™t help. The inside parts are very cheaply made and don™™t turn right. Have not had it long at all and it makes a loud screaming noise.

This is the 2nd Mircrowave we have within 3 years. Both have failed. The first one we saw sparks inside. It was returned under warranty and this one failed less than a year later. A cloud of smoke came out after trying to use it. Smoked up the whole kitchen. Need to get another new microware.

The product is okay. This is powerful enough, but smaller than I really wanted. It has less features than my previous GE microwave that I had for 20+ years. It's not exactly what I had hoped for in a new microwave, but I'm going to adjust to it.
