Nice spacious unit and what™™s nice about it is the compressor is quiet and the top of it is solid. You can put weight on it. You could almost jump on it.

I love my new freezer, you can fit two full people in there, (at least!) AND you can change it to be a refrigerator instead of a freezer if you want!

Was very happy to find this freezer in stock locally. Perfect size for our use and is very quiet. It was cold in a very short time. Not sure that we will ever need to use the refrigerator feature as we really need a freezer, but we will see.

We purchased this freezer around 6 months ago and the inside gasket on the top lid has come off!!! I can't reach ANYONE at Amana!!! All of these options on the phone & NOT 1 for what I need. Very frustrating!

This chest freezer fulfills the purpose that we purchased it for. Unfortunately adding accessories is problematic. I can't find them anywhere. We needed to add baskets in order to keep things organized. We end up going to Amazon for something that wasn't made for it, but worked.

We purchased this about a month ago and were pleased we did until when I called to order two more baskets to assist in organization, I was given some nonsense about invalidating the warranty. This certainly doesn't indicate Amana has much confidence in this product.

We™™ve had it for two months, it cooled down fairly fast, and it seems to be working well so far! Time will tell if it™™s a quality freezer or not? Our last freezer was a Westinghouse and was still working after 27 years, when we replaced it with this Amana. We will be happy if we can get at least 10 years out of this freezer.

The delivery men were nice. The freezer works like it is supposed to. Just be sure to remove all the gray tabs around the seal. I have had it about 3 months and so far so good.

Previously I owned an Amana 15 cu. ft. freezer that my father had purchased back in January of 1979 and it still worked great! I decided to buy a new Amana as the older one, though still working fine, was using too much electricity. The 16 cu.ft. model was on sale so I bought it. So far I am very happy with it, but have three issues that should be addressed for future upgrades. First is that it only comes with one hanging basket, which is very flimsy. The last two issues are with the lid. The biggest pain point is when you open and close the lid, and need to grab one more item from the freezer, the lid is impossible to open! It takes a couple of minutes before you can open it again. Not sure why, but my old one did not do this. Lastly, and the major issue my wife has, is that there is no light in the lid so you can see inside when you open it. My 43 year old unit had a light and I can't understand why they would make a newer model without one. That said, the Amana 16 cu.ft. freezer was a good buy and I'm happy with all the space inside.

My old freezer was 45 years old. I hope this lasts as long. Make sure you take out the plastic brackets or the lid doesn't seal. I bought extra baskets because it only comes with one and thsy would be wasted space.

We got this about two weeks ago and it's working great so far! We were able to make use of the refigerator temperature for a few days to keep a lot of green fresh and are now using it for meat storage. No qualms so far and it's nice and quiet.

I bought this a month ago after searching NUMEROUS websites, brands, sizes, etc. and this Amana 16 cu. ft. Chest freezer was the BEST value for the price. I got more than other freezers at the same price (size, features, etc.). There is a lot of room to freeze food for a long time. So far it's been working great and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Unit does not have a lamp in the lid, the rollers on bottom are small in front and none in the rear so moving it is impossible when loaded. Inner liner is very light duty so dents with the smallest of impact. I do like the indicator lamp that shows it is on, running and cold enough to accept storage. It was nice to see it could be used as a refrigerator even though we probably will not use the feature
